This is important if your company has visitors from visa-waiver countries. Europeans and others who travel visa-free to the US can start registering this month for a new online security screening check that will become mandatory in January to enter the US. The new security measure will replace current paper forms that foreign visitors from 27 visa-waiver countries have to fill out when they enter an airport in US territory. (Note: It will NOT apply to land border crossings into the US, where paper forms will still be used.) No fee will be charged to complete the Electronic System of Travel Authorization (ESTA) online and it will be valid for trips to the US over a two-year period or until the traveler’s passport expires within that time.
