Hello. My name is Kirk and I have been in the travel industry for over 11 years. I began my career working across the country for 2 major U. S. airline carriers. I grew up in Wisconsin but I have lived in several unique areas of the United States. My professional experience in the travel industry has included a variety of functions from locating lost baggage to arranging jungle elephant ride excursions for travelers. In addition to leisure travel agent responsibilities, I managed another travel agency prior to joining Burkhalter.

I lived in Hawaii for several years and I try to get back as often as possible. It is my personal favorite destination. I have found that places grow rapidly and that my significant travel experience has been a huge benefit for me in assisting individuals with their vacation travels.

Our family enjoys traveling together immensely. Our children usually opt for taking cruises but they seem to find any tropical destination has plenty for them to enjoy. My name is Kristine and I am a Vacation Travel Consultant at Burkhalter Travel's Mineral Point Road office. With an undergraduate degree in cultural geography and business, I began my career in the travel industry designing and coordinating U.S. and Canadian motorcoach tours. I later attended travel school and have been working as a travel agent since 1988.

Although I have done some business travel, my primary focus is on vacation travel. I consider myself an expert on Japan, having lived there for one year studying Japanese culture. During that time, I traveled throughout Japan and also spent time in Hong Kong and China. I have traveled to eleven European countries and Jamaica, and have cruised the Mexican Riviera as well as touring several U.S. cities.

I am a Certified Travel Counselor and an Elite Cruise Counselor Scholar - this is the highest level of cruise specialization and there are only 13 people in the United States with this designation! Throughout my travel career I have had the good fortune of traveling to Mexico visiting Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta; cruising the Caribbean visiting the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Aruba, Curacao and Belize. I have also spent time in Europe visiting Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Florence, and Venice and time in the UK visiting London along with an extended trip through Ireland.

Our wonderful United States has also given me some fantastic memories from cruising to Alaska, island hopping the Hawaiian Islands, casino hopping in Las Vegas, ghost tours of New Orleans, a beach break in Gulfport/Biloxi, theme parks of Orlando, cruising out of Miami, driving the Florida Keys, and history tours of Gettysburg, Philadelphia, Washington DC and Boston. There's relaxation and learning rolled into every vacation, get out there and enjoy the world!

I've been to Kyoto, Japan; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; England; the Canadian Rockies; Barbados, St. Lucia and Jamaica in the Caribbean area, and Cancun and Cozumel in Mexico. I've also traveled to many areas in the United States including Disneyland.

When I'm not working or traveling, I like to read or work out. I also enjoy watching television.

Barbara has an extensive travel background, having begun her career with Eastern Airlines. She has been employed with two local agencies before joining Olson Travel.
