After working for about eight years as a travel agent, I joined Burkhalter Tours (Fall of 2005) as a Tour Coordinator, and I'm still loving the work I do here.

In our department we create and implement one-day excursions to nearby places of interest as well as extended group tours. When people ask me what we do here, I tell them we do it all, from Branson to Beijing. The variety keeps things interesting for us, and judging from the feedback, for our travelers as well. Occasionally, I have the opportunity to accompany one of our groups, which affords me the chance to experience our tours from our travelers' point of view-an invaluable tool when it comes to planning new tours.

I love to talk travel, so feel free to pick my brain. I have visited nearly every corner of the U.S. and I'm only two continents short of my seven-continent goal. What is my favorite destination? Generally, wherever I'm going next, but I do find myself returning to the British Isles quite often. I earned a BritAgent specialist designation several years ago, and I try to visit as often as possible to keep up my knowledge of the land of my ancestors.

I firmly believe that traveling not only expands your understanding of the world, but leads to a sense of self-discovery as well. I'm sure I'll never know everything there is to know about every place in the world, but for as long as I can, I'll keep traveling and trying to figure it all out!

My name is Kristine and I am a Vacation Travel Consultant at Burkhalter Travel's Mineral Point Road office. With an undergraduate degree in cultural geography and business, I began my career in the travel industry designing and coordinating U.S. and Canadian motorcoach tours. I later attended travel school and have been working as a travel agent since 1988.

Although I have done some business travel, my primary focus is on vacation travel. I consider myself an expert on Japan, having lived there for one year studying Japanese culture. During that time, I traveled throughout Japan and also spent time in Hong Kong and China. I have traveled to eleven European countries and Jamaica, and have cruised the Mexican Riviera as well as touring several U.S. cities.

Bonnie's experience at Burkhalter Travel has been a varied one. She has been with the travel agency for 23 years working in administration, as a trip director, and as a travel agent in both vacation and group travel. I'm Judy, Manager of Burkhalter Travel's Sherman Avenue office. I have been employed in the travel industry in the Madison area since 1980. Having worked as a travel consultant, cruise specialist and as branch manager, my training and experiences have been many.

Throughout my travel career I have had the good fortune of traveling to Mexico visiting Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta; cruising the Caribbean visiting the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Aruba, Curacao and Belize.  I have also spent time in Europe visiting Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Florence, and Venice and time in the UK visiting London along with an extended trip through Ireland.

My name is Nancy and I was born in Concepcion, Chile. I moved to the U.S. when I was 19 years old and have been a Travel Agent since I arrived. I have been blessed to visit many parts of the world including the Caribbean Islands of Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, St. Johns, St. Croix, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, the Caymans, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Turks & Caicos, the Bahamas and Bermuda. My travels have taken me to Argentina and Chile in South America and Costa Rica and Belize in America. In Mexico I have visited Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Mexico City, Cancun and the Riviera Maya.

I have traveled extensively in Europe, visiting England, France, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Italy (several times), Spain, Greece, Turkey and Morocco.

I have cruise several times and my favorite cruise was a Mediterranean Cruise. My travels have also taken me to the Hawaiian Islands and Tahiti.
